Our Gas Fireplace Care Package is designed to help you protect your fireplace investment, enjoy peak performance, and stay ready for anything — especially the colder months when your fireplace becomes both a cozy centerpiece and a critical backup heat source.

The NW Natural Appliance Center has been offering gas fireplaces, stoves, and inserts for over 40 years.

It used to be that cleaning and maintenance was easy for many customers to do themselves, but with modern developments in fireplace technology as well as consumer demand for more viewing area (with no louvers and less visible metal), it has made access to removing the glass for cleaning much more difficult. Also, most fireplaces we sell today are equipped with battery backup, so it is important to know how to use this function and be prepared when needed.

The Gas Fireplace Care Package includes:

  • Clean glass, remove mineral deposits, apply glass conditioner, and check for C/O leaks
  • Clean and correctly position logs
  • Replace ember bed material
  • Replace ember bed and accent light bulbs as needed
  • Clean firebox and burn area
  • Touch up interior firebox paint if desired
  • Clean heat exchanger and air intake areas
  • Check and clean burner, ignition, and run system diagnostics
  • Check all electrical connections
  • BONUS: Power outage preparation – if the unit is equipped with a battery backup, review of power outage procedure and provide onsite instruction
  • This program is available to existing NW Natural Appliance Center customers only.

Warranty support that works for you

As a value-added convenience, if your fireplace is within the manufacturer warranty period, we will take care of any extra warranty related repairs during the maintenance appointment and schedule a return trip as needed.
